ON THE WAY TO SCHOOL

An initiative aimed at engaging students in the UAE with the global challenges faced by children worldwide in getting education. To resonate, our first step was to host Documentary Film Maker Pascal Plisson, and launching a mass film screening campaign of his movie ‘On the Way to School’ across different schools in the UAE where the youth had the chance to interact with our guest and open their eyes (and minds) to the misfortunes of others.

Students Challenge to defy floods

Fatima bint Hazza Foundation aims to raise awareness and to help the children who are directly affected by such events. The challenge is designed to engage and give students the opportunity to apply their knowledge and develop solutions in response to climate change. Students will take into consideration socio cultural and environmental aspects into their creative designs.

War Child Holland

Based on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child Approved program, War Child, the organization aims to strengthen the life skills of children and young people and the protection of children and young people from violence, abuse, exploitation and neglect. Furthermore, War child provides access to basic educational services for marginalized and vulnerable children.

International Youth Library in Germany

The largest library for international children’s and youth literature in the world. Ever since it was opened in 1949 by Jella Lepman, it has continuously expanded to an internationally recognized centre for the world’s children’s and youth literature.

Refugee camp in Jordan

The foundation participated in the educational services at the refugee camps provided to children who have been out of school due to political instability. Donations of books and ipads were made to help children cope with their tragic reality and continue learning.

Donation to Gaza

The foundation supported -through Red Crescent UAE- projects involving rebuilding shattered homes in Gaza.
